Relay Help

Post by Scotiamark »

I've wired up my DPDT relays as per http://www.homebuiltrovs.com/howtorelaywiringdpdt.html but nothing seems to be working. I can hear the click when there is power to relays but there's no power or conductivity for any of the relay setups. I've check and rechecked the wiring and nothing seems to be off. Any suggestions? I'm using 12v relays with a 12 v power supply. Thanks!

I know it is probably a bit messy... but can you show us any pics of what you have so far?

Messy is right, however I figured it out last night. My first problem is not having much knowledge in electronics, my second problem is not reading the fine print, which states "make sure the poles are the same as shown here". I assumed my relays were the same but they were not. The commons and NC are switched on my relays. Lesson learned and some soldering practice gained. Thanks for the interest, I'm sure there will be more questions.
