has anyone used 10 or 12 core alarm cable yet, how flexible is it. i was thinking of using 12 core then i could double up on the motor wires to save running 2 cat5 cables.

Haven't tried alarm wire but if your planning on powering thrusters over cat5 (or any thin gauge wire) even doubling them up I can tell you it doesn't work very, well see --> http://www.homebuiltrovs.com/howtotethe ... edrop.html

just as i thought i had a good idea  . i think i might end up making my own cable using some silicon tubing and pulling the strands down the tube just to keep things looking good.
