New to the forum and a novice.

I am working on my first ROV and compared to many of the posts that I have read, I have a lot to learn.
I am starting out with a goal depth of just 30' or so. I do search and rescue work and, living in Florida, it is not advisable to dive in most lakes and ponds unless you enjoy swimming with 6'-10' gators. The main mission is to investigate anomalies found by our side scan sonar and identify them. We rarely deal with depths over 20' but I am sure my next ROV will have greater range in case we need to go deeper.
I have learned a great deal from this site already and look forward to learning more, I need all the help I can get!
