Types of PVC pipe.

Is ducting pipe suitable underwater or is this different from proper PVC pipe? It is a lot cheaper.

The PSI rating of PVC is usually printed on the outside. I think the stuff you're referring to is what I would call 'vent pipe' and it's made of a different type of PVC (or could be ABS in fact) which is NOT pressure rated at all because it's just designed for use in venting gasses at 1 atmosphere of pressure. I wouldn't recommend it because it's probably going to have unpredictable consistency (one piece might withstand 30 psi while another length may develop cracks...).Domes wrote:Is ducting pipe suitable underwater or is this different from proper PVC pipe?
