3000 ft into the Black Sea or Bust

We have a ride on a research vessel, now we just need the ROV. We will be stealing ideas and asking questions so please give us an hand.
The basic design is for a streamlined mini ROV that is towed 300 ft behind a sonar array at 2700 ft. When a sonar target is found the ship will stop and the ROV will dash over and have a look. A single twisted pair connects the ROV to the sonar umbilical and on up to the surface. Low drag is very important. Missions will be 10 hours long and the ROV will operate for about 1 hour during that time. Otherwise is drags behind waiting for a target.
We'll post more specific questions in the appropriate locations.
Feel free to contact me if you'd like to be apart of this adventure.
