Not that you necessarily need to share it anyway, but I wouldn't let any similarity bother me.

However I emailed Bluerobotics an asked for permission, explaining that I based my design on theirs and they had no problem with it as long as I mention that it was inspired by their design.

Makes me like them even more.

Thanks for sharing your files that's really cool of you to do, I'm sure a lot of work went into the design. Can't wait to try printing one myself.

I really like doing this stuff for myself only. At work, we have pretty strict design rules to follow at all times. Here... not so much

Not much work has been done the last couple of days, but I am playing with the idea to maybe use the same type brushless motor that I use in the thrusters to run my manipulator. It might be a silly idea.
What I want to try is to model a 80:1 worm gear that can be printed. Then using this as a winch I should be possible to use for tilting and clamping my manipulator. What needs to be seen is if I can get enough torque out of it. We will see, work in progress. Maybe it will just make the esc's make pretty smoke
Also got a lot of new filament for my printer, so I had to make a new rack to hold the spools.
PLA in the back and ABS in the front.

Hey Ole, you might want to look up some hi torque gears for that manipulator thing. I think I sent you some links before. They basically just have a little gear set mounted on the end of a regular motor, but it reduces the RPMs down as low as like 70 or 80 rpms (or up to like 600 IIRC) but it's much lower than the several thousand that you typically get from a small motor and the torque is pretty good.
